Malinalli - Grass

It was used for everything from housing, matting, roofing, clothing, diapers, boats, baskets, and more.  The spiritual connotation of Malinalli is the premise of native culture in that everything we need is provided for from nature and the plants. This strong grass is rooted in the waters and also provides the perfect eco system for small mammals, birds, fish, and more. It grows in abundance and is a staple of life for many lifeforms. Petecatl is the god of medicines and pulque, the drink of the gods. We honor the many forms of sacred medicines that come in liquid form. The power today is the Macaw, Alotl. A majestic and enchanting bird who flies in flocks and brings a strong intellect and visual healing. 
The lord of the night, Centeotl the god of sustenance and the sacred medicine of food. Today and tonight we find that everything we need is provided for in nature.
