Tecpatl with the guardian Chalchiuhtotolin, The Jade turkey. Moon Phase - Waning Gibbous ~ Recieve. The blade in many traditions represents the cutting of the unwanted. In Aztec tradition the blade is represented with blood. A symbol of both war and human sacrifice. The ancients ritualized these acts because they realized the sacred in everything, even the dark. Today we loop this energy back to where we are working in our lives. What have we called forth for healing this cycle. Spirit hands us the knife and we cut away to receive. This cutting lightens the load and makes space for more in our lives. Chalchiuhtotolin the beautiful Jade turkey is supporting what is left over after we face vanity and selfishness. The power today comes from the Chicuauhtli. The barn owl. Barn owl lends to the evaluation needed to do this searching and fearless inventory. Where have we been selfish, self-seeking, and in fear? Chicuauhtli lends the eyes to see in the dark.
The Lord of the night, Tepeytollotl the heart of the mountain. Dressed as the ocelot, Tezcatlipoca takes form. Ocelot is the cosmic consciousness presiding over earthly planes. It is the essence of mountains, echos, and earthquakes. Ometeolt - Sarah
