Cualli Tonalli this day Xochitl with the guardian essence Xochiquetzal. The Moon is still in waning gibbous, to receive. After the rain comes the flowers. The beauty of creation reminds us through olfactory and visual processes that we are abundant. Life in its contractions births us to the next phase of our development. Our mastery is to relax during these contractions and allow the universe to work through us.
The power today is Quetzaltototl, the quetzal. The bird of illumination. Quetzal is revered in meso tradition. One of the stories is that Quetzal would be the king of god. The people gifted Cortez the quetzal feathers and well, look how that turned out. However tragic, there is learning from this beautiful bird. No matter how mesmerizing or beautiful, no matter how good your mantle feathers are, it is even more so important for us to be humble. Quetzal is called on to illuminate the inner world. All the dark crevices to see our part. No human is infallible, and what is worse than not acknowledging our mistakes is to not repair the fences, tapestries, and bridges that we have broken.
The lord of the night, Xuihtecultli the lord. of celestial time and heat or fire. Xuihtecuhtli was so honored that a fire was continually kept burning for "him." This reverence for the hearth and the sacred fire is our missing link. We must honor the fires. Light your fires and celebrate the embodiment of tonatiuah!
Ometeolt - Sarah
"The baby blessing was one of my favorite parts of the whole shower!"
I attended last year’s Ancestral Healing Arts workshop at Mt. Shasta and it was more than I could have ever expected. Sarah was a great leader and facilitator. I didn’t know how much healing I would receive from attending this workshop. We laughed, we cried, we shared our stories in a safe container. We learned how to set our 4 directional altars and we delved deeply into our family stories and personal healing. I plan to attend this year’s workshop in Ashland. I highly recommend working with Sarah.
“I had the honor of attending this ancestral healing workshop last Summer at the Goddess Temple in Ashland with this dear spirit healer. The whole experience was a powerful catalyst for some much needed changes & healing in my life.
I highly recommend this weekend retreat with Sarah where she will utilize the power of the four directions and various folk healing techniques to bring about any spiritual, emotional or energetic healing you may need at this time.
Sarah brings an open deer heart, compassion and a potent understanding of her medicine tools to each of her sessions where you will feel safe, and safely held in a good circle.“ ~ Cihuatochtli Denai Fuller
